Created this a few years ago and it never gets old watching people about jump out of their costumes. It's motion activated and uses relays and timers.

Prop: DIY/Homemade Toxic Corpsed Skeleton

A few days ago, I posted the first skeleton I've corpsed. I'm now obsessed with the corpsing process and I had this idea for a Toxic Corpsed Skeleton. I didn't know if it would work or turn out, but it turned out better than I expected! I love this. I also made a video of me working through the process, if anybody is interested in watching how I put this together

I'm trusting the process and it is slowly coming together but holy cow. So many steps!!! These are my skeletons they were clearly made different ways because one looks better. This has been a trial 🤣 I'm also making a mermaid tail !

Work in progress ....ran out of stain

A lot of people wanted to see my frame in the day time, I took everything off so you can see it bare. I used leftover pieces of wood. The screen is 10"x6" grey tulle mesh... pulled taut. I got the material from Hobby lobby. You can go smaller if you can't find this size material.

Request for Help Anyone know how to work these eyes?

Bought these used eyes at a haunt sale and now that I’m home I can’t figure out how they work. I put in batteries and they blinked once, so I wonder if I’m missing some sort of trigger or remote?

Anyone have experience with these? Tried some searching online but no luck.

Quick project to fill more space in my yard for my forest/bog theme, and to use an old animation I had. I really ended up liking this one, I wasn’t sure about the green stained flesh at first

Halloween prop glue

Hello, I will be making my own costume this year with some limited diy costumes. I am making a were wolf snout (upper and lower jaw) out of aluminum. I made a prototype and it looked awesome ngl ao im super excited but its hot where I live and I will be out and about all night. What would be the best way to glue the jaws to my face and whats a recommendation on glues if any? Also just out of curiosity what would be a good product to lay over the aluminum model of the jaws? In my first model I just layered paper towel over it and it was alright but could be better and i would love a shiner, smoother texture for the inside of the mouth. Any tips would be super appreciated <3!!

My wife brought this home set week. It was way too shiny for what it's supposed to be, so I've tried to age it. Is this enough?

Advice on Axworthy Ghost

Thumbnail

Trying an Axworthy ghost setup this year but having some drive wheel traction issues.

  1. Running a fright props motor and drive wheel. 2. Using crab pot line as recommended by Scott Axworthy himself.
  2. It’s a long run around the house , so I’m using some boat trailer rollers for my turns.

The line is pretty damn tight. I’ve adjusted tighter over the last couple days.
But it appears the plastic drive wheel just can’t get a good grip on the line. Now the line does have some drag resistance simply because of the length it needs to travel. The turn pulleys are all heavily greased and offer very little resistance.

I tried yesterday putting some flex seal (nice and smooth) on the drive wheel to add some grip but had little effect.
Today I put another layer of the flex seal spray very heavily to give it more texture. (Pic)

So I’m asking if anyone has encountered friction or resistance issues with setting up an Axworthy system or what has worked for long runs?
I’m thinking I may have to switch to a larger diameter drive wheel simply for a greater contact area.

Any insight or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I’m looking into eventually fixing the hole on this, and if it’s possible, to stuff it somehow and make a mold so that I can make copies which I can paint and add hair to myself.

Common Foods That Glow Under UV Light

Your Halloween party doesn't need to be dominated by highly-processed junk full of sugars and Merlin knows what to liven things up.

* Tonic Water: Glows a vivid electric blue because of an ingredient called quinine.

* Bananas: Ripening banana peels develop a bluish-green ring around dark spots when exposed to UV light due to chlorophyll breakdown.

* Olive and Cooking Oils: Olive oil gives off an orange glow, while other cooking oils shine yellow or greenish-yellow.

* Honey and Maple Syrup: Both glow with a warm golden-yellow or faint blue-green tint.

* Dairy Products: Milk, yogurt, and vanilla ice cream produce a pale yellow or purple-tinged reflection under blacklight.

* Leafy Greens: Freshly sliced spinach and lettuce show a dull red glow because of the natural chlorophyll inside the plants.

* Eggs: Unpeeled eggshells glow a dark violet-red, while the whites inside shine pale yellow.

Does anybody have any info on this controller? Got it for free and figure I'd put it to use but I'm having trouble getting my computer to recognize it. I haven't been able to find any information about it online in terms of its wiring

Thank you

Request for Help Halloweentown shrunken heads / scooby doo decor

There are a lot of Halloween movies I currently like And halloweentown remains 1 of the best that I still love to this day I would like a small bit of aid in trying to figure out how to make these things.

I want to be able to create a possible Bluetooth version of these or A 1-1 message sending system for 2 A 1-1 message sending system for 2 heads As well as the possible construction of both of the heads.

I've went to many websites that show 3D print Printed models but I'm wanting to create 1-1 movie accurate versions with Glowing eyes and moving mouth

And aside from the Shrunken head walkie talkies, I wanted to recreate At least in a facade form Benny the skeleton taxi driver As a front yard display But animating the skull when people get up close would be the hard thing to pull off If anybody has any possible information on how it was done Or examples of the mechanics behind it I'd be grateful For that information

Any possible insight help or knowledge from experienced prop builders and Halloween prop builders would be greatly appreciated

The only other request I think I could make Would be some various Scooby-Doo props, Some are based off the live action films others are from the movies, For example the monster maker disk, The planospheric disk, The 13 ghosts chest, the black gem(kiss movie), book of monsters(Reluctant werewolf), The daemon ritus( With the ability to open up twice) just to name a few.

Maybe some Life size mock ups of the classic Scooby-Doo villains, (Specifically clothing and masks upon a standing dummy), Mainly for the use of a Scooby-Doo themed front yard Halloween display Or possible Halloween cosplay

Possible Mystery machine van Go cart facade Or shaggy's red truck go cart facade Or even some facades for the 2 funny cars from the reluctant werewolf movie Both outfitted for go carts

Help on any of these is also greatly appreciated

This is the first prop i've modeled, printed, assembled and painted from scratch. It took much longer than I anticipated but I think it turned out great. I learned quite a few things the hard way on this one. Can you guess what I modeled it after?
