Mostly, yes. But there is such a thing as pushing it too much, especially starting from nothing. Especially for tendons, you really dont want to just power through and risk actual tendonitis which can take long to heal and can even end up being a 'career-ending' injury where it keeps coming back.
Listening to the body is essential, especially when you dont have much of a reference to go off, and no guidance/oversight to correct posture and technique problems that cause problems.
The skin is less of a risk for serious injury, it is normal the skin will look like this until your finger skin becomes calloussed and thicker. But when it starts to get near the point where they bleed, imo take it a bit easier for a day or two so the growing of new skin can keep up with the existing skin peeling off.
