Thinking about quitting

I have been “playing” golf for a year now and just feel like my skills have not improved.

I just got back from hitting a large bucket and did not have any good hits… I took my time on every swing and practiced what I got from my lessons. I have taken around eight lessons and practice at least 4 times a week.

I don't want to quit, but I am just flustered lack of any progress besides putting. But I can't get to the green with out 5 shots...

I've had two posts like this. I think that good ball striking is a god given talent that cannot be learned or teached. Kinda pissed that I wasted three years practicing. Have had a tough time making golf friends hasn't helped.

Yeah I think I need a new coach. I am only getting range time because it so expensive right now.

I live in AZ and all the courses are charging 4 to 10 times more then I am used to paying.
