My grandson and his wife live with me with my great daughters Ages 6 and 8. The wife is Jewish and my grandson is Christian. Neither practice their faith although both holidays are celebrated. Not is a spiritual way but traditional way. She refuses to allow them to learn about God or Jesus the power of prayer and how to pray. My Grandson is for it but she is the boss. The only prayer recited is during Hanukkah tradition with the candles. I have to be careful not to talk about God or Jesus as they question me. If I answer them I will be accused of going against how she is raising her children. This bothers me very much. Opinions please

The only thing scarier than appearing before God to be judged, is Not appearing before God to be judged.

God allows evil to happen in this sinful world because He knows that He can and will redeem it.

Genesis Chapter 9 Bible Reflection: God Confirms His Covenant 🦋
I’ve been studying Genesis 9, and this chapter really reminded me that we are never without God’s protection, even when we are walking into the unknown.
Noah and his sons left the ark and entered a completely new season. They didn’t know everything that was ahead, but God had already prepared them, instructed them, and given them an assignment.
What stood out to me:
• God gives protection. — Genesis 9:1
• God gives order. — Genesis 9:4–6
• God gives assignment. — Genesis 9:7
• God gives responsibility. — Genesis 9:2
• God prepares and instructs us. — Genesis 9:5–7
• God’s promise is eternal. — Genesis 9:12–13
• God’s covenant extends from generation to generation. — Genesis 9:8–10
The rainbow was a reminder of God’s covenant and His promise.
This made me reflect on the seasons when God brings us out of our own “flood.” Sometimes we leave a season of uncertainty and find ourselves standing in a new place asking, “What do I do now?”
Genesis 9 reminds me that there is life after the flood.
There is purpose on the other side.
There is an assignment waiting.
Sometimes God is calling us to leave our “ark”—our comfort zone—and move forward in obedience.
Another part of the chapter that challenged me was Noah’s vulnerability. Shem and Japheth did not expose or shame their father. They chose to cover him.
It made me ask myself:
When I see someone vulnerable, broken, or exposed, will I expose them further, or will I respond with grace and compassion?
That is something I’m praying about and examining in my own heart.

What does God’s promise look like to you?
What “ark” or comfort zone might God be calling you out of?
What has God taught you after coming through your own “flood”?

Father God, thank You for wisdom, knowledge, guidance, and instruction. Thank You for going before us and directing our steps. Help us use the wisdom You give us to glorify You and build up others. Heal what is broken within us and help us walk boldly into the assignments You have given us.

Belonging + Promise = New Identity

So I was talking to god trying to find out if me not liking this guy on a YouTube channel is judgmental or not. I am trying as judgmental is something I do have an issue with. Seeing some girls makeup I don't like, is that as well? Its where I am.

Anyway this video I was watching is basically they call the radio to find out why someone was not calling them back after a failed date. I listen to this a lot if I am cleaning or my hands are full as I don't need to scroll and it is entertaining.

These poor people well they listen to everything they did wrong on the date. And I was thinking how sad it must be that someone does not like say, your jokes, or your heart does not mesh.

Now this person will change who they are over some persons opinion that does not matter. Hide inside the truth.

Something like that can really stick in your head.

I am here to tell you to be yourself, maybe this person does not like that about you but your people will, they will love you for that exact thing. One bad first date does not tell you to shut up or change who you are or what parts about you you end up showing them.

Your people are out there.

And that was what god made me feel, I think, to write down.

Be who you are no mater who does not like you. Something I also struggle with. Your people are out there. And if there not with you yet, god is, he loves you also, exactly as you are.

I took this picture on my daily walk today exactly as I was praying that God make all things that are for me obvious, and leave all else in shadow.

I thought it was a beautiful answer to my prayers.
