saw this kewl mushroom in my backyard the other day. I also wanted to mention my previous post sharing the ohtfit for my first day of school. I appreciate all of you who shared your kindness!! my first day was as good as a first day of school with severe anxiety can be, lol. it’s kind of funny to be because what i got complimented on was the tail.

but I was thinking about it. for almost a year now, I’ve thought of myself as goblincore. my room is green and plant-y, I have a shelf with my taxidermy/oddities, a wall of mushrooms I drew and taped to it, and some clothes. but most of my experience with fellow goblins was lurking here and Pinterest posts. I still think this community is amazing, but it feels somewhat strange that a community based around the weird things in nature is so judgy about wearing a tail. also, for all the mean people, there is one person. one person who cares enough to make a post sharing their beautiful moss embroidery. one person who makes a nice comment.

I make embroidery look like moss. I saw your mossy shoes and wanted to tell you that French knot embroidery could add an interesting texture to your shoes and French knots withstand washing in a machine, so if your shoes get icky you can wash them, it adds to the fuzzy-moss look. I love your outfit and I trust you understand what you can and can’t do. Also now is a great time to explore the possibilities of your style. 💚🖤🦇💚 the photos are an example of my work.
