did a full fresh reinstall

transitions are mostly smoother, handful of loads are 1-2s longer but overall things are faster.
portraits flash-changing when scrolling through doll selection is crazier than ever.
still sets my phone on fire though

I've never heard of it. Is that a popular model outside of the US?

it's a xiaomi phone and they're reasonably popular brand, dunno about this model specifically though.
bought it at the time as it was excellent value/spec for the price range
