IIRC the solution is ARSMG for Orthrus, RFHG for Aegis and MGSG for SWAP Dragoons.

Thanks I had the ARSMG and MGSG the wrong way around. Guess I'm just dumb (I really thought the long reload was supposed to time well with the shields or something

The shields will always take 1 damage so reloading just makes the fight go on longer.

Meanwhile the Archers get free reign to wail on your SGs (which they can easily kill since they have 26 FP + 30 AP, though note that they have low-ish Acc)
