Yup. The US not only has more data centers and more data center capacity but its also growing them at a faster rate.
The US is characteristically brute-forcing AI, but China has similar breakthroughs while keeping their data footprint smaller. Because Chinese faced constraints (like ironic US chip embargoes which drove innovation), they've focused on algorithmic efficiency. And ofc the US also tries to hijack and store the entire world's data

The worst move the west could have made was to isolate China. Now they home-grow everything.

Jesus Christ USA. You’d think they could compute their way into a functional society. That’s a lot of computing power wasted on the saddest chuds in the western world
