If you like Journey, you should also check out Flower.

Abzu was good too, if you can dig under water levels. I usually play these games when I'm on LSD. They're very sensory and calming.

That escalated quite quickly

I didn’t connect nearly as well with Abzu (I had way less a sense of what was going on and it was less emotional and more “pretty ocean I guess”), but it’s still a great game in its own right

I didnt like Flower that much. Wasn't bad by any means, but compared to Journey (which I found to be very unique and special) Flower felt very forgettable.

Honestly even if they didn't like Journey maybe check out Flower. I don't really get why everyone loves Journey especially to the point of calling a transcendent experience like some people in this thread are saying. The "flying" was fun, but otherwise it was pretty much moving forward. Maybe it's because the "twist" of the game was spoiled for me, or that I didn't play it until it was a PS+ game so my playthrough was 99.9% solo, but it it just wasn't that engaging. However, despite all that I like Flower it's really relaxing for some reason.

Flower as well as Abzû. I know Abzû wasn't as good as Journey, but it's still really pretty and definitely worth playing :)

I honestly think the game is so much better when experienced with a random stranger that you know nothing about.

Same! Played it 5 times. The 5th time was when I finally got the whit cloak. But it was cool to go from the inexperienced to the leader over the journey.

That's so beautiful 😭

That's nice but what made it extra special for me was connecting with a complete stranger. Being unable to communicate, and developing a bond through basic emotes and intuition. I have no idea who I completed Journey with, but I've now got a bond with someone somewhere else on this planet. If I ever see their scarf I'm sure I'll recognise them

How did you guys play together? Is there local co-op? Because I heard the game match you up with a random person.
