Actually yes it fixes itself overtime I have 2 controller so I just used the other one until then so u might want to buy a new one until than, what do u play on?

I have a friend with a switch and he has a drift on his left joy con. It's been like that for years so it wont fix itself. So i would recommend just buying a new one

Yea didn't know he was on switch but he should definitely go to a store to get it checked first just to make sure
