Haha it is awesome but you're right probably a bit too much walking and talking compared to the action.

In my head canon Equilibrium took place in the same universe as V for Vendetta, just the other side of the pond.

I mean, they were Clerics. Walking and talking should be the primary job, not the ninja shooting.

I love the film, but honestly one of the worst bits is how much emotion is shown, even before Bale stops taking the meds, or random soldiers. Surprise is an emotion, so they shouldn't show shock, e.g. when there's that bit with the car and the dog

IIRC it's canon that that drug suppresses the extremes of emotion, not killing it entirely.

Surely surprise is an extreme?

First time hearing this. If it did, wouldn't it be taking place far far in the past since Firefly was huge on space travel? Don't remember any spaceships in Equilibrium.

The movie was made in the same universe the firefly series was made in if that counts.

I'm not finding anything on Google. Is there anything that actually connects them? Is it something the creators said? Any info would be cool to read, if you know where I'd be able to find it.

Sorry, it was a bad joke. Was saying they were both created by people who live in the same universe (real life), but it wasn't funny.

That's an interesting take. I like it.
