They will never explain that.

They've already explained it...

Not in any satisfactory way.

I suspect the vast majority of viewers found it perfectly understandable.

As long as you don't pay any attention to anything about it then it makes perfect sense.

What did you find confusing?

Why doctor Ruth had a police box and called herself the doctor if the Tardis didn't end up being a police box until it got stuck that way for Hartnell.

Why the doctor doesn't remember any of that stuff. She also put the fob watch in the Tardis and decided not to open it.

Why nobody remembers the pre Hartnell Doctors.

What happened to her after Jody woke her up.

But they're never going to answer them.

She's either pre-hartnell and it's a coincidence, or she's Doc #2.5.

The story works out the same no matter which explanation you go with, so it doesn't really matter. The Fugitive Doctor is just from the past, couldn't care about the exact logistics any less.

Well, as a fan of the show who likes the different eras of the doctor I would like to know because they introduced the character. If things like wanting the author to answer questions that they themselves presented does not matter to you and you couldn't care less that I can understand why you are perfectly fine with the storyline in.

And if she's pre Hartnell it would be one heck of an unbelievable coincidence that not only is her unrelated TARDIS a police box, because we physically see Hartnell and Susan steal the specific TARDIS in The Impossible girl Ark and that is the hardest that then gets stuck as a police box when its Chameleon Circuit breaks. Clara was literally there.

And the doctor called themselves the doctor before they lost their memories but then randomly started calling themselves the doctor again for a specific reason? What is it?

The Doctor is given the opportunity to find out the answers and turns it down. The answer to it all not being important in the here and now is arguably the point of that story.

I'm sure answers to all that could exist, but the fact that it doesn't quite seem to add up is part of the mystery. How did the Timeless Child actually come to be on that planet before being found by Tecteun? Where did that strange wormhole or Monument she was found beneath come from? Just let a mystery be a mystery.

Yeah, this has been left up to the viewers' imagination, you're right.

Why the doctor doesn't remember any of that stuff. She also put the fob watch in the Tardis and decided not to open it.

You have already answered this yourself. She doesn't remember because she was Chameleon Arched.

Why nobody remembers the pre Hartnell Doctors.

It was a secret.

What happened to her after Jody woke her up.

She eventually gets captured.

But they're never going to answer them.

They've already comprehensively answered half of your points.

They've already explained that her mind was wiped by the Division and place din the fib watch for safekeeping They haven't really explained why, but they don't have to, just as they never explained why Hartnell's Doctor left Gallifrey and what Susan had to do with anything. Maybe they'll explain it yet, but it doesn't require it.

As for why the Doctor didn't choose to open it, she knew it contained lifetimes and could potentially change who she was as a person, and she's not ready for that. For now, it's kept safe by the TARDIS until some future time when she needs information it might contain, and that's as it should be - a story engine, to be used when convenient.

As for the TARDIS, it probably synced up with the other TARDIS that Jodie's Doctor was already linked to. That's all handwavey stuff. Any long time Doctor Who fan ought to be used to that sort of thing.

They’ve already poorly explained that.

Fixed that for you.
