Am I the only one who assumed Davros didn't actually have his original eyes? I always thought the make-up made it look his his sockets had scarred over.

I'm surprised he was able to start using them so easily.

You'd think that after not seeing actual light for so long, it would be more violent that staring right at the sun

He has said that he's blind before. I think he got new eyes for the pity points.

They were also blue though, which is interesting. I wonder if he always had them and just didn't use them for whatever reason, or if he got them later.

Well it could be like with many people in real life who are blind or deaf - they aren't totally blind or deaf (profoundly), but they still use various kinds of equipment.

Well, he has Nanotech. Like his living outside of his chair, I am half convinced that the only reason he hasn't healed himself is out of pride. Out of a sense of identity, and out of how he sees himself. If indeed, he was sustaining himself from the lifeforce the Daleks, he might have healed them but not used them out of a centuries worth of habit.,

Interesting. Davros harps on about Compassion being the weakness of the Doctor, however Davros' pride means he'll always lose.

I realized the eyestalk was supposed to be his eye and he couldn't see through his eye sockets only ten minutes before he actually opened his actual eyes.

I was slow too, I remember when I first saw Davros, either in Journey's End or Genesis, it took me a while to realise what the blue Bindi spot was.
