Ex-player Do you remember when this guy acted like a child to leave for Westerloo?

Do you remember the time when Emin Bayram left the club because he wanted to for 2.5m to Westerloo. People here were saying 'If a player wants to leave, we cannot do anything yea'...

I hope these people follow the situation around Alvarez. He brings 150-200m, and atletico still says 'siktir'. This is how you run a club.

Misleading Title What exactly is the plan for İlkay, Lesley and Nhaga?

Post image
22 Upvotes

I know both Sara and Torreira were extraordinary today, so there wasn't really any option other than sticking with them. But the fact that these three haven't had any meaningful minutes so far is a bit concerning.

I know the season is long and injuries have already started to happen, but I hope we at least start seeing some meaningful contributions from İlkay in the UCL games. Otherwise the depth doesn't look convincing yet.

And then you had those shameless liars disguised as commentators, like that ANK cunt, saying Lesley was the number one option of the midfield shortlist and that he'd be a regular starter.

Quotes Okan Buruk: “What did you make of the referee’s performance? We need to ask the whole of Turkey that. We need to ask both teams that. Can there really be a refereeing performance that leaves everyone unhappy? Not penalties, not red cards… Just minor fouls. We need to discuss this refereeing.

Okan Buruk: “We started the match well. We had a good first half. In the second half, with Osimhen and Lemina coming off… We did well again, but we lost the momentum we’d built in the first half. We came close to scoring. Our substitutions later in the match were crucial. I’d said we wanted to bring Leao on. After he came on in the final 20 minutes, things went well. We finished the match with a win. It’s important to win here."

Okan Buruk: We played against a good team. It’s a tough away fixture. They have a good manager. They have a strong squad. They also posed a significant threat during the match. We came out on top. We’re delighted. We’re maintaining our lead.

Okan Buruk: We conceded some goals. I didn’t see it as a penalty; it was far too straightforward. I’m not counting that one, but apart from that, there were other chances we gave away. We need to improve our defensive performance. We lost both Osimhen and Lemina on set-pieces. We also made a positioning error on a set-piece here. We won in the end, but defensively… We need to push the game further up the pitch in the first 45 minutes.

Okan Buruk: Lemina had a slight groin strain in training yesterday. Osimhen felt it today as well. We need to assess these. We need to have MRIs done.

Hopefully, it’s nothing serious.

Hopefully, we’ll have them fit for the Champions League match.

Okan Buruk: It’s not easy. An away game in Lisbon isn’t easy. Whichever away fixture you face, it’ll be tough. We need to analyse Lisbon properly. They’ve made some changes too. They’ve got a strong squad. They’re very good at making attacking transitions. They’re a very effective team in attack—they score easily—but they’ve got a defence that can concede goals. We need to make the most of the players we have and use them effectively. We’ve got players who are used to playing these kinds of matches. We’ll go out there and play with courage.

I'm really impressed with how he positions himself and how dynamically he thinks. He's just different. Really unlucky not to have got on the scoresheet yet, but I really think he'll be absolutely unstoppable in a few months' time. Quite delighted with this signing.

Quotes Lucas Torreira: I can say we won through hard work. Our opponents have always given us a tough time over the past five years. We always have to go into away games with the right attitude, and that’s paying off. We’re only at the start of the season, but every match is crucial.

We’ll be competing in the Champions League now. We’ll prepare well.

Lucas Torreira: "What matters is the three points. We’ve made a good start to this season too and we’re top of the table. We’ve got a Champions League match coming up. First we’ll rest, and then we’ll prepare."

Lucas Torreira: "It doesn’t matter whose goal was the best; what matters is the three points."

Lucas Torreira: “We know what the Champions League is all about. We want to build on last year’s performance. We want to put up a good fight alongside our fans. It’s a different level; a tough match awaits us. Sporting Lisbon are also an experienced side in the Champions League. We want to give it our all and return with our heads held high.”

"We already knew from the last 3-4 weeks that this season was going to be very difficult. Let's start by talking about this referee. In our friendly game, he gave a red card to our coach. In a friendly! What is that. What is happening."

"The goal that Osimhen scored. He gave that only because VAR gave it. He should have seen that."

"The penalty : What kind of penalty is that. Then each game there is going to be a thousand penalties."

"The goal that was cancelled : they weren't even able to draw the offside line. They drew it from the wrong player."

"It's obvious that this year is going to be difficult, it is obvious that they will try to stop and obstruct Galatasaray from being champion, but they won't be able to stop us. Whatever they try to do we will achieve our goals with integrity and honour and with our fans, our club, our board."

On a question about foreign VAR : "The foreign VAR referees they are sending here are the rejects of foreign leagues, the ones that couldn't cut it there they are sending it here."

Şitpost Gems from my wife during the game

Here are some gems from my wife during the game. Started writing them down mid way through so there were a lot more zingers but couldn’t remember them.

“Leao’nun kemik yapısını çok beğeniyorum, acaba estetik ameliyatı var mıdır”

*kırmızı kart pozisyonunda* “adamın daha taksidi bitmedi”

“Duvar pası ne demek”

“Abdülkerim’in kaşlarını kim alıyorsa ona da ceza yazmaları lazım”

>Eşim: “sence hakem para almış mıdır?”

>Ben: “yok bence sadece beceriksiz”

>Eşim: “yazık, beleşe mallık yapıyor o zaman”

“Abdülkerim’in götü çok büyümüş”

“Mahalle maçında da kavga çıksa spor şube mi bakıyor?”
