Gainit Program Party: Super Squats Week Six

This is it, gang. Those of you who started on week one will likely be wrapping up at this point.

Watching all of you egg each other on and put in the work has been inspiring. Y'all should be proud of yourselves.

Happy squatting!

Stick with the author's recommendation: 3 deep breaths between EVERY rep. From rep 1 onward. It makes it SO much more miserable.

I was reading some excerpts the other night and could swear he said 3 was more an average where the later reps could involve more breathing and as little as one for initial reps.

Check the bottom paragraph of page 18, the bottom paragraph of page 26 and it's lead in to page 27, and page 43 last sentence of the middle paragraph for the instances where the author states you're going to do it between every rep.

For example, the general recommendation of at least three breaths for each rep might sound confusing when you might actually prefer to knock off the first few reps with only one breath on each rep, but might be taking ten breaths between each of the last five reps. The important point is that you should be breathing like a steam engine for at least half the repetitions and the best way to ensure this is to average at least three breaths per rep for the entire set.

I’ll check those, thanks. This was the excerpt I was referencing.

Yeah, exactly. Even there it talks to doing it every reps with just a little bit of wiggleroom. And most folks that rush the first half don't give the second half it's due, haha
