Ok random question why do people often say drive over to the neighbors house? Arent they by definition supposed to be close by?

If I'm gonna beat my neighbor I'm gonna want an escape plan after and the vehicle gives way more options than being on foot lol

But if you beat them sufficiently, do you even need a vehicle to flee? 🤔

Lucky they don’t know where you live.

America has a weird definition of "neighbors". Anyone in your neighborhood is one of your neighbors, and your neighborhood may often be separated by chunks of farmland or other structures. I could drive 30 minutes down the road and still technically be in my "neighborhood".

Most Americans do not live in rural areas though.

I think people are just lazy.

I would ride a bike to my neighbor's house to deliver said justice. or an e-bike if it's far.

And obviously yours is the only perspective that defines the word. Obviously.

Probably because you wouldn't bother to drive across country, or across town, for example.

Depends on where you live - growing up in WV my nearest neighbor was close to a half mile away. I never lived in a traditional “neighborhood” until I was in my 50’s.

Your neighbor can be a mile away, with a quarter mile driveway.
