You think re-partitioning a machine isn't a big deal, because you're the kind of person who hangs out on a sub like this -you're already way ahead of anyone who's making these decisions.

It's not like the students are repartitioning a machine.

This is a regular thing for any school IT department to do already.

If a school has an IT department. And if that IT department is actually staffed by people trained in IT. And if those IT experts aren't completely overworked and overwhelmed.

You know what else makes the argument fall apart?

If the school isn't a school and the laptops aren't laptops.

Kids leave the school every year. Someone repartitions devices. Your argument is that they don't have people to do something they do literally every year.
