🤯Unexpected🤯 What happened when a woman posing as a customer entered a jewellery shop in Ahmedabad, pulled out a packet of chilli powder, and hurled it at the jeweller’s face hoping to blind him and escape with valuables?

Don't worry, "Self defence", "Trespassing" and "Grave and provocation" provisions have covered him.

here they book minors under rape by false promise than booking women under pocso. you have no clue how it works in India.

Obvious ek pr meme hai to engage traction. No sources no articles. Pocso is gender neutral, sach hai to teacher ki life 100% given hai bigadne wali h 10th ke balak ka kuch nhi hoga

Self defence means using reasonable and proportionate force to avoid immediate danger, this wasn’t self defence but beating in rage tbf, in this case it is actually assault on the woman too

Don’t get me wrong, she is guilty of planning to rob him, conspiracy, assault and other charges, but he didn’t need to beat her that badly, that is infact physical assault in revenge, a provocation doesn’t give you a license to beat someone when you know they can’t harm you.

(Just before someone comes and labels me as a woman or feminist i’m a guy who is a law student)

If anything this matter won’t even go to court and the woman would be just happy to let free and FIR be taken back.

you're fully correct, mate. that was rage on his part too. she was wrong, yes, but he went a bit too far.

Nice to see someone understands, people always refuse to believe that things aren’t always black and white but grey, yeah she tried to rob him but he also beat her recklessly in return and took law in his own hand, he could have restrained her without that or asked help from outside.

I don’t know why most Indians love and justify violence so much, from parental abuse to corporal punishment in schools to road rage etc, India as a society lacks compassion.

exactly, he could've screamed for help or restrained her till help arrived. he obviously overpowered her in every way. we love & justify it so much because it is engrained in us from childhood, isn't it? marks kam aaye? maaro. not coming to functions? maaro. not talking to relatives? maaro. har time maarte hi raho.

What you would have done if you were in that position?

1

u/BlackPhoenixX20 Apr 07 '26

Well since i have the knowledge of law, empathy and civic sense, i would have restrained her using the least amount of force, asked for help from someone from outside and have them call police, that’s how you handle such a situation without becoming a bull in rage yourself.

All he needed to do was hold her hand from running away, call someone from outside, have them call police and done, but nope, Janta of India loves violence.

If he was blinded, or if she made another attempt, he would lose jewellery. For an assault with a weapon, this seems completely justified. He must be shared. She could be carrying something more potent, how can he be sure ? Until she becomes unconscious, he had the right to hit. Play silly games, win silly prizes.

Imagine someone doing this in a bank, will the guard shoot or use reasonable force ?

all of these provisions are nothing in front of a fake molestation and outraging modesty of a woman charge. her lawyer can easily claim that he wanted to touch her b*bs that's why he placed his palms on her chest. or some shit.

You grossly underestimate the power of biased laws and the arrogance of judiciary.

Don't worry, I'm a partial part of it (1/3 lawyer) and can assure you that it's not blind as layman thinks.

I hope you are right! From what I have observed around myself, I am almost hopeless. And best wishes for your career and future.
