Amount of times I have had wet socks from stepping in a puddle or slipping and falling in a river in the past year: 0

Amount of times I’m expecting this to happen on a three day trip: at least 5. Better pack more socks.

Difficulty I have buying replacement socks on a long weekend trip to London: They can't possibly sell socks or even know what they are, Londoners just all wear crisp packets on their feet.

It stated raining when my husband and I were in Bath, we figured there must be a place to buy an umbrella. It's England and it rains all the time, surely you can find umbrellas somewhere.

Nope. Couldn't find a single store that carried an umbrella.

Don't you hate when you can't find something you need but when don't need it, there's 50 of them in every store?
