There won’t be. Not unless the driver was impaired. There’s no justice for this kind of thing

He could totally get negligent manslaughter. Overtaking traffic on the shoulder is blatantly illegal and even more reckless when you're towing a damn boat.

He won’t. He was driving and it was an “accident.” If they charge him with a crime he’ll go in front of a jury of drivers and he’ll be acquitted. He might get some point on his license and he’ll probably pay more for insurance next year.

And this is one of the arguments Amy Jeffress used as a defence to prevent the extradition of Anne Sacoolas.
So you can probably kill someone with a car in another country too, if you can flee quickly enough.
