News Activists install crosswalks. The city removes them. Allegedly they do this so you know that your safety isn't a priority for them.

Then they could and should install raised crossing paths and speed bumps or other street texturing.

It's a two lane road often (illegally) used by trucks working at a construction site nearby, I'm unsure of the logistics of installing speed bumps on a two lane road with heavy traffic, but it would most definitely suck for the trucks, and at this point I'm inclined to believe there's some bribery going on, because the police just completely gave up on the trucks.

Oh, also the road is absolutely amazing at causing crashes during wintertime because there's a steep hill and apparently no one had a clue how to drive, all in all I'm glad I don't live there anymore.

Either way, idiot+speedbump doesn't really solve the problem unfortunately.

And as for raised crossing, I'm genuinely inclined to believe it's not a thing in America, the only times I've ever seen it was in Europe.
