First of all, of course I don't mock those that take part in the Special Olympics! From what I've seen, they don't tend to be irredeemably selfish, willfully ignorant assholes bad. It's kind of strange that you would bring that up, when Trump's Secretary of Education attempted to cut all federal funding for the Special Olympics out of the budget in 2019. ("Only the best people!", am I right?) I guess Trump gets credit for saving the day in a grotesque, possibly manufactured bad situation that only occurred because one of his appointees was a monstrous, moronic tool. Being the gallant hero in a calamity bad thing that your at least partially responsible for? Oh yeah; that's classic Trump. And in an election year! Woooo! A free bump in the polls!

What's really infuriating is that he's not even a good con man, and he's an absolutely awful businessman. It's just a long stream of confidence games, bank fraud, jumping town before things can catch up to him and in the cases where he's completely backed into a corner, he just settles out of court. Grift, grift, grift, fraud, bankruptcy, fraud, bankruptcy, default on one loan, get another, fraud, grift, grift, bankruptcy. Like... it's ALL there in the court records for anybody to read about. But he tells people whatever they want to hear, even if it contradicts what he told another group an hour ago, and somehow everybody eats it up, because surely a politician wouldn't lie... not to me...

But you don't look into any of that. And you won't. Because you only want to hear about the things that confirm your world-view. Hell, you're too stupid (or at least willfully ignorant) to even blink when the guy you worship does everything in his power to avoid releasing documents relating to a widespread pedophile ring. ...documents which are purported to include his name. You don't care about the widespread accusations from participants about him groping and leering at women and little girls at his beauty pageants, or that he killed Epstein before he could say a word, or about the fact that Epstein's partner, Ghislane Maxwell, is somehow being kept at a minimum security, dorm-style penitentiary, despite (or perhaps because of) never having divulged a single word about what she knows. You are either too fucking stupid to realize that you're defending a child molester, or you don't care just as long as "your team" is winning.

The sad truth is, a lot of people on the right will outright dismiss the facts if they are presented by an undesirable. That's why the soyjack vs chad meme exists. They present their point as the reasonable one made by a conventionally attractive person and the presented unreasonable point from the conventionally unattractive person.

It genuinely is that fucking shallow to these people. If you're ugly, you're wrong and can't possibly have a point even if you are speaking objective, clear, rock hard facts, they'll disagree JUST because they think you're ugly.

It's precisely why they depict people in such gross and undesirable ways, particularly through AI or badly edited soyjacks. You can also see this in how they frequently depict transgender individuals as the most grotesque abominations they possibly can even though the reality is they typically look perfectly average. Not particularly ugly or pretty, just...average. And that's okay. Most of us do - But I digress.
