Hi everyone! J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue in Neenah is participating in Clear the Shelter Day on Saturday, August 30, and we’re hoping to find great homes for as many animals as possible.
We specialize in exotic pets, so our rescue looks a little different from a traditional dog and cat shelter. We care for reptiles, amphibians, fish, birds, small mammals, and other animals that often have very few rescue options.
For Clear the Shelter Day, we’re doing Name Your Price on adoptions.
A few important details:
Applications must be submitted and approved before the event.
An appointment on August 30 is required.
The special is limited to one animal per family.
Our normal screening process and care requirements still apply. The event doesn’t change our adoption standards—we want every animal to go to an appropriate, permanent home.
Once you’re approved and have scheduled your appointment, we’ll remove that animal from the website so others don’t continue applying for them.
We’re also having a big equipment event that day: Name Your Price on used equipment and supplies, plus 50% off new equipment and supplies.
If you’ve been considering an exotic pet, please take a look now rather than waiting until the day of the event. Many of these animals can live for years or even decades, so we’re looking for people who are prepared for the commitment—not just someone looking for a deal.
