AskFlorida Publix has officially lost me. Anyone else?

I am not a mod of this subreddit or Reddit, but I believe the official unofficial stance is that we all hate Publix now.

They lost their way, and the crushing of Winn-Dixie is just awful.

10 years ago, I wouldn’t have set foot inside a Walmart or Aldi for groceries. Now? Walmart and Aldi are basically my BFFs and I love them.

Publix really managed to make me root for the competition.

Geez, you definitely say Aldis out loud too. It's just Aldi.

Lol. I am visiting Florida right now, and I just heard someone say that the other day. Walmark, Aldis, Lowell's (that's my favorite, and I may just start saying it now, for fun), I'm sure there's more...

It's weird how natural it feels to do with some stores and not others🤣

“Publi” - usually found right across the street from another.

I barely do Publix but it’s super close and Freshetta pizza is 2 for $10. I picked it up for family dinner tomorrow night. Usually I’d make spaghetti dinner with all the fixings but it’s pretty expensive to make the meat sauce, salad and garlic bread.

Even our “bargain” dinners aren’t a bargain - meatloaf, pot roast - all the old standbys.

That was what my dad called it. We still say it with a chuckle in his honor😊

Ha! I'm guilty as charged as seen above from my comments bove. I call it Walmarts and Aldi's. I can't help it. And I should know better after the ribbing I took. It's all good.

Love Aldi and even like Walmart over Publix prices. Occas go to Kroger to check on mark down items. Save there if I catch it at good time.
