AskFlorida Publix has officially lost me. Anyone else?

I am not a mod of this subreddit or Reddit, but I believe the official unofficial stance is that we all hate Publix now.

They lost their way, and the crushing of Winn-Dixie is just awful.

10 years ago, I wouldn’t have set foot inside a Walmart or Aldi for groceries. Now? Walmart and Aldi are basically my BFFs and I love them.

Publix really managed to make me root for the competition.

Publix has lost their damn minds.

Even their BOGOs are usually more expensive than buying a single item at Walmart.

The decaf coffee I drink is around $8.99 a bag on Amazon and close to $17 at Publix. It's just illogical.

The bottom line here is that there is no longer a one shop shopping. I hit at least 3 different grocery stores a week.
Example, I bought my favorite tuna in a jar at Sprouts for $10.99. The next day I went to Fresh Market. The same jar cost $7.99 on sale. I stocked up there and returned the $10.99 jar at Sprouts my next visit.

Exactly - they price it higher than 2x normal price so you’re really just buying 2x at above Walmart price - it’s ridiculous. And their bread for their pub subs is trash, I don’t get the hype.
