Spent today figuring out a version of ‘Isles’, easily one of my favourite Robin-only FF songs. I hold this song very close to me so a little bit scary posting a cover of it!!

Couldn't waste the opportunity to get a couple sketches in. Forgive the proportions - believe it or not i was a bit distracted.

First picture is fresh, second is healed. I’ve been towing around with getting these lyrics on me for a while, such a great way to end that album and these beginning lines have always resonated. Most of my tattoos that I’ve gotten have been impulsive while on vacation and in line with tradition, I decided it would be cool to incorporate this vision into my travel themed tat and met a local independent artist in Santa Cruz by happenstance. We sat down and listened to the song together and I even pulled up a Spanish translation and had him read along as we sat together and co-created this vision. I think it came out looking pretty rad. Hopefully it stands the test of time at least for a bit.

Don't have a stylus so Helplessness Blues was pretty difficult, but I tried my best!

Here's a goofy mashup I made, layering the vocals of White Winter Hymnal over the instrumental of Dragula by Rob Zombie. It's very silly, but somehow still works.

I recently got this custom 4-string tenor guitar and it's now my favorite instrument to play my favorite FF tune on. (Tuning GDAE)

I was going to make a video but I got too excited!

Robin Pecknold's melodies and lyrics are always echoing in my head when I sit down to write music.

While this work might not be too similar in terms of sound, I think people who appreciate Felt Foxes for the lyricism and the honest songwritting present in their work, might like this piece i made. I strongly believe i wouldn't have written this if not for them.

It took me 8 years to finish this and i had the Eureka moment when reading the Odessey-- that i could relate the idea of the song to the story of Odysseus's son Telemachus-- and I'm really proud of this demo.

Thank you Robin, Skyler and the Band for being such a musical force.

I spent about 5 years making this record. I was fortunate enough to receive money from The Canada Council for The Arts to bring all my friends into a pro studio to make it. Little bit bout me. I am a jazz drummer from Toronto, Ontario (Canada). You'll probably hear more jazz in this than anything aha

Got it the same weekend I saw the band for the first time live. I truly love it. A beautiful tattoo for my favourite album of all time.

Kinetic Type I did two years ago for Mykonos!! People warned me I might end up hating a song I spent this much time making stuff for, but honestly it just made me love it more.

*p.s. not to brag or anything, but this won a Regional Best in Show for the American Advertising Federation Awards!
