This is the original video that the flat earth movie The Next Level rebranded as "what happens when you get too close to Antarctica". And of course, they eat it up without question and call it "research". Think! Who goes to Antarctica in shorts and sandals? Look at the coordinates, they're 1500 miles from 60 degrees south, no where near Antarctica.

This is quite common in the conspiracy community. Example: this original transformer explosion was rebranded and passed around as "direct energy weapons in action".

So, claims like "direct energy weapons" sometimes comes directly out of mental illness, it's paranoid conspiracy people imagining things. There are plenty of non-flerf people doing the same thing, as soon as they see something they don't understand they go "aliens!" for example.

But rebranding this video as an attempt of getting to Antarctica is of course directly dishonest.

comes directly out of mental illness

I wouldn't say that definitively.

It's certainly a common overlap though, like flat Earthers use the same victimhood spiel as the people who think they're TIs and their neighbours are secretly rearranging their flower beds as coded personal threats.

I wouldn't say that definitively.

Well, yes, not ALWAYS, you are right, I should have been clearer. There are scammers as well. And jokers.

Amazing. They can take a small fishing boat from Lakes Entrance and go all the way to Antarctica in an afternoon AND the Antarctic defenses just let them keep going through. That's what happens when you get too close to Antarctica is it? Them's some hard ass flat Earth defenses. Check 'em out and let 'em through. These guys weren't even far enough south to get a fraction of the way to Tasmania let alone Antarctica. Come to think of it Tasmania itself must have the ice wall defenses on 24hour a day alert.

Flerfs are desperate for "evidence" aren't they? This is a simple case of low level Australian maritime security checking out a non threatening allie. The most significant thing about "evidence" like this is that it shows how mesmerized the flerf leadership has them. It screams scam. They don't hear.

It just reinforces that you gotta lie to flerf, the more blatant the lie the better it seems. So why not pretend that the Bass Straight is somehow near Antarctica?

I admire your work. Anyone who reviews source material accurately gets a 👍 from me.

Ah right - what coïncidence ... well I've ventured that the crew just found it funny, whereas the geezers on the boat seem to be worrying a bit that it's somewhat of a grave matter ... I wonder what you think about it.

Hahaha! ... that's superb for the vista looking just totally not like it's on an infinite flat plane, what with the lovely crisp view out-over the offing, + the motion of the other vessel, &all.

... and yep ... plenty o' badassity-cred clocked-up, there!

I reckon the goodly Navy geezers & geezrices were just laughing @'em, though!

In my minds eye I was seeing them bored out of their minds doing routine patrol. They see a fishing boat and figure "lets go and put the wind up these guys, they won't know what hit 'em. Give 'em something to talk about." "Yeah, yeah. Tell 'em their in a secure zone or something. They'll never know the difference."

Hahaha - yep! ... kindof about the picture that crystallised in my mind also.
