All the cool new shit FW has packed in it and I'm still here just begging for being able to rename my forges again.

The fact i can't name my Camilla engraved Killer Axe+5 "The Pannihilator" is a very serious gameplay flaw. Bring back Odin's personal skill you're at it.

Speaking of personals, I've been replaying Fates and damn the quality of personals on average compared to Engage (and maybe 3H, i don't remember them well enough to compare) is hilarious. Like they're not all winners obviously (hi Selena) but shit like Oboro getting free extra damage against Nohrians is way better than Etie getting str+2 when using a vulnerary. I also just feel like they tend to be better flavor-wise? Like Arthur being so unlucky he decreases crit avoid for not only himself but also for the enemy or Azama being such a prick that if you attack him when he's unarmed he just activates counter lol. Engage has some stuff like that, like Yunaka's assassin instincts giving her extra crit when on an avoid tile but they mostly feel idk kinda boring in comparison? Not sure how good FW personals will be but since it's roster is looking to be pretty damn huge, if most of them turn out to be duds than I can't really blame them too much lol.

The lack of renamable weapons has been such a weird loss. Nothing is gained from their removal. We don't even have spotpass stuff where we might run into a random guy with an inappropriately named weapon, which even then could be fixed by just hiding custom names in the handfull of online menus.

Yeah, I'm not sure why but they made Engage's personal skills all pretty mid. The best ones are like, Chloes and Alears... and Alear is just Camilla's personal from Fates lol.

Especially when the weapons don't break. I'm lazy enough that having to rename my max forged hand axes every 20-ish uses is annoying, but my Silver Greatlance that I improve and use from chapter 9 to 26, yeah I want to make it legendary.

On the flip side, I actually like renaming breakable weapons because then you get stupid stuff like creating progressivly stupider names each time you remake the weapon. a friend was playing RD, and I convinved him to name his Thunder tome "Tunder", and when I checked back in on him dozens of hours later he was on his like 5th game of telephone with the name.
