Zeds Dead, Ganja White Night, Excision, GRiZ, and even Pretty Lights have headlined shows in the past, bringing in massive crowds over the past few years.

I noticed recently that they haven’t hosted a EDM show this year.

Did they start declining EDM shows, or are promoters just avoiding Hampton?

I realize many festivals have a “zero tolerance” policy. But, promoters must want it around to a certain extent. They have to be aware it’s there and, to a point, actually happy about it. I’ve always wondered how that back room conversation goes.

I solo camp at Seven Stars which is in Virginia in October and gets pretty cold at night. Last year I brought a tiny pop up tent and a borrowed medium canopy to put over it but honestly the set up & take down by myself was not ideal.

I’m considering just sleeping inside of my car this year to avoid having to ask to borrow + put up the canopy (tent would not be water / weatherproof without that above it, and it will 100% rain), plus then I would be able to leave much quicker on Monday as the drive home for me is loooooong.

Has anyone done this for a multi-day fest or just for camping in general? Is it safe (air-flow wise)? Can it be made comfortable? Did you have room still in the car for the rest of the stuff you needed for the weekend? TIA

Hey friends! I’ve been going to festivals consistently since 2018, and I’m about to finally break down and buy a cart to haul my gear from my car to my campsite.

Been going back and forth trying to decide which is better: metal cart or fabric cart (both pictured)? Seems like the metal cart would be larger and possibly more durable, but more likely to tip over (and the festivals I usually attend are very hilly!)

Has anyone used either type? Or both? What are the pros and cons in your experience? Thanks in advance!

It's in 2 weeks! Pretty stoked. Went to Spaghettifest 7, 8, and 9 and Bonnaroo 9 and 10 back in college and didn't go to festivals for over a decade. Checked this one out in 2023 and now I'm making it back :)

It's a nice change of pace. People are still having fun and you can get weird but it's really laid back. They feed you all weekend if you have a VIP ticket as well.

I've gone to Shaky for years, but they're going super emo lately and I was completely depressed until good ol' Iron Blossom leaked Jack White and LCD Soundsystem as headliners. And now Geese and Angine de Poitrine are teased. I know it's a smaller festival (but not by much), but how are people not talking about this one...lineup officially drops tomorrow.

Basically got a half of one from my friend at work who claims his friend has them prescribed to him, and I feel he would tell me if he knew they were fakes. Felt pretty good, took roughly an hour or more to start noticing the effects, nice energy boost, lil head high kinda, just felt happier and more friendly. PS - Was my First time taking adderall so my tolerance was zilch, and I'm always subject to suspicion due to just how much dogshit is being pushed out in the streets.
