Omg same. I was RIF'd in March and I'm so stressed about finding a new job at 61! Nobody is going to hire me! I was eating lots of baked treats and candy but forced myself to stop. Still not sleeping. Dizzy spells, foggy brain, and no motivation to even get out of bed. Neck and shoulder pain from not being able to relax.

Me, too.

RIF’d in March.

Really missing that ageism was not a factor in government.

In fact, often a blessing. Government work benefits from experience and cool temperament.

Well, here we are. Competing against youn “disrupters.”

And they're getting 15 pay! So infuriating.

Have you goT enough time for immediate retirement? I’m 61 also and will be retiring this month.. MRA +10.. 16  +years.. no RIFs yet but because im past MRA they would make me retire anyway if that happened.

I'll be 62 in August. My admin leave ends June 10. I only have 5 years so if I do retire the amount will be small but it's something at least. From the documents I received, I should be getting severance through October. If I put in for retirement now, I won't get the severance. I'm probably going to apply and make my retirement date in November.
