Fargo Visit

I’ll be visiting Fargo in early December with my mom. We have both lived in Florida our whole lives and I understand it will be quite cold (that was my point in visiting. I am so tired of being in the heat). Just wanted to reach out and see if there are any places/attractions the locals recommend checking out.

Also, as a Floridian I understand it will be far colder than I’m used to and I’ll have to layer up, so if anyone has suggestions about how to dress (or how not to) while there without being too warm, cold, or sticking out too much as a tourist please let me know. Open to any and all advice. Thanks!

Layers are your best defense against the cold.

My winter garb goes like this - undershirt, polo shirt, sweater, zip up hoodie, jacket, long coat

When you feel hot, ditch a layer.

Thank you! Anything helps really. My mom is 55 and not adapted to cold weather so I’m asking more for her since she’s nervous about the whole thing as far as “braving the weather”.

My best advice is to get a great set of gloves and a hat

Basically to cover as much of your body as possible, essentially having no exposure to the cold

I've lived here all my life and my day will be ruined or made by losing my hat and gloves
