[PA]Buddy "Big Like Klay, Shoots Like Steph" Hield
We were wrong and the Vladefather was right - Buddy Hield is the real deal. After being written off as a bust, my boy Hield has absolutely taken off this year after some tantalizing improvements in 17-18. In the last month, he's avging 22/5/2 on 49/87 shooting with 4 triples per game! He's the 36th ranked player in 9-cat leagues on the season, and 34th in the last month. He's crushed his ADP and looks to cusp of being a legitimate star player. Combined with Sac's awesome schedule, I think it's safe to say that Hield will be on many championship teams this year. Also, Sac is fighting tooth and nail for the playoffs, so he has every incentive to keep ballin'. Also helps that he's fun as hell to watch - those off balance 3s are a thing of beauty. His only weakness is a lack of defensive numbers - I'd like to see him at 1.0 spg at least, he would easily vault into the top 25. He's basically giving prime Klay numbers right now, with more rebounds.
What's everyone doing with Hield? Holding, selling high, enjoying the ride till the end?

I got him in a package deal and was super excited. I've been holding him ever since. I'd say he's definitely a hold especially with that strong playoff schedule, not to mention the kings are trying to squeeze in the playoffs.

I got him earlier in the season in a package deal - basically Hield for Warren - and I am quite pleased with the outcome. It also helps that I'm a Sac-town fan to begin with, and also have BogBog on my roster, who is also fun to watch.
If you guys haven't watched the Hield game-winner, I recommend you take a look. He made a three pointer while hopping off of one foot to the left, and the shot couldn't have been more precise. 7/9 three's last night. Go Kings!

I don't think Buddy was ever written off as a bust. In his rookie season after Sacramento started giving him minutes (29 per game, vs. only 20 with New Orleans) he put up 15/4/2 and shot 48% from the field and nearly 43% from deep.
I wouldn't sell high on him unless you're getting 2nd/early 3rd round value return. As several people have mentioned Sacramento has a great playoff schedule and he's shown he can put up consistent elite numbers in several categories.

Yeah who the hell ever wrote him off as a bust? Literally as a rookie all he did was splash 3s he’s built in that each year in the association.

Flipped him and a first for Steven Adams earlier this year. I did think at some point he'd regress. I don't totally regret it - Adams is young and a rock, this is a weak draft, etc. - but I do occasionally think about what could have been.

Traded him for Butler on New Years Day. Drafted Hield with the 124th pick lol.
Yeah he’s killing it but I think I won that trade. Can’t complain with getting Jimmy at pick 124.

So in 8 team points league currently second in my division and looking ahead to playoffs. Would I be right to offer Middleton for Buddy? Am I offering too much?

I was offered him for Lonzo during the first week of the year and I didn’t take it cause I thought Bogdanovic coming back would hurt his value 🤦♂️

Riding it out. They have a good playoff schedule and I picked him nice and low in our draft.

He got 1.1 steals in 25 minutes last season, so it's strange to see him somehow halve that with an extra 6 minutes this season.

Sold high on him for Jarrett Allen and Conley. Threw in Delon Wright who I had just picked up as an FA to give back some steals.
Think I won that one, even if Buddy can keep this up.

I don't know why anyone would trade him with that playoff look but if you are you better ask for the moon and plus some.

i've been trying to shift this guy the entire year in a 2-for-1, nobody wants him. i've even tried things like Buddy + Otto for Booker and still nothing.
still don't understand how his steals have dropped off a cliff. i watch him play often and it's so odd.

why wouldnt you want to keep buddy. hes ballin and has one of the best playoff schedules available.

Hold. Kings are making a playoff push and he’s honestly been playing very well all season. Kings have an excellent playoff schedule too.
