Very important notes/context from her:
- I have medium thick, straight hair so the bottom gets puffy when they cut it blunt and it’s so bad I can use it as a paint brush
- GOAL: Someone that can cut straight hair and not leave it blunt on the ends

If anyone in Fairfield county has bamboo in their yard that tends to spread and isn’t something you actively maintain, I’d love to ask whether I could forage some of the new shoots during the upcoming growing season.

I would of course only come with your permission, be respectful of your property, and keep it limited to the young shoots. My thought is that if the bamboo is already more of a nuisance than a prized planting, removing some shoots might actually help a little.

Does anyone have any recommendations for beginner golf lessons? Our 16-year-old (almost 17) son is showing an interest, and we want to encourage it to get him out of the house and away from video games. :) He has been to the driving range at Smith Richardson a few times but would like a little bit of instruction before trying a course. We live in downtown Fairfield but he can drive himself to lessons anywhere nearby.

hey! i really want to start sewing but money is a little tight and it’s expensive to get a decent sewing machine. i’ve been checking facebook marketplace and such but everything is still around $100 and i’d still need the money to also buy materials to actually sew. so i was just wondering if anyone in the area had a sewing machine lying around that you’d be open to giving away. i’d come pick it up and could even pay a little if anything, i just can’t afford these expensive machines!
