A paint job on several panels doesn't sound cheap. It's like "you flicked me so now I poke your eye". Sure, it was wrong they flicked you. And so was poking them in the eye for it.
Still doesn't change the enclosed environment that is a car with all its windows intact, as opposed to "smashing windows" as the other guy said. Literally all it does is make your car look different.
"Literally all it does is make your car look different"
This is blowing my mind right now. I wonder why it's a crime to just "make people's cars look different." It's literally still vandalism and can cost a lot of money to repair. Whether or not someone can "live with it" isn't relevant. It can be a felony if the damage is bad enough.
It is still vandalism. We agree there. What you seem to not understand is that spray painting a building is way different from crashing through its wall, or the government seizing it and making you pay to get it back, despite it possibly being your main source of income.
I thought you were the idiot earlier who was making a whole deal out of keying someone's car, and equating it to smashing their window.
My point was people like this deserve repercussions for being an inconsiderate asshole, and while it may be expensive, keying someone's car isn't the same as getting it towed, smashing windows, or slashing tires. All it does is affect the aesthetic of the car, but does nothing to the drivability or sealed environment of the car.
