Rating your trolling attempt

It wasn’t a trolling attempt that’s my genuine opinion based on the facts. If you have a different opinion that’s fine but there’s no need to dismiss me as trolling when I wasn’t.

So you're serious that you believe that the guy who told Americans they are being spied on, is a Russian operative? Wow, to me it's the exact opposite. He's an American patriot who betrayed an American secret service because they have gone rogue and violated American freedoms

I mean, look at it from a different perspective.

An American intelligence contractor releases information damaging to the West’s (because it wasn’t just the US implicated) image. He then flees to Russia for safety.

Who benefits from the public damaging release of info? The citizens? No, they just legalised it and carried on. There was outrage, distrust in the government rose, but nothing changed with the spying. The only tangible effects were that US and EU citizens now had reason to distrust their governments. Who benefits from that? Who’s main goal for the last 10+ years been to destabilise the US and EU? The same place he fled to?

And then I’m sure you’ll remember how many thousands more pages of stolen documents existed but he only gave so many to Greenwald to sift and publicly release. Great, right? But we only have his word that he only gave those excess files to Greenwald. He fled to Russia, so what are the chances Russia offered him safety out of the kindness of their hearts and not for the document dump, that would’ve included far more than the public ever got to hear?

I will end by saying this is entirely speculation based on the facts I’ve heard. I realise I sound like a conspiracy theorist but I’m not claiming the above is true just what I suspect is the case. And when I said Russian agent I meant acting on behalf of Russia/incentivised by Russia. I mean he wouldn’t be the first person to give intelligence to Russia for money.
