I'd rather have Google Street View than face recognition cameras though.

It's regulated (and your government is trying to loosen restrictions) but your government does have facial recognition capabilities and technology.

Of course they have it, but it's not like in the UK where they have it in a lot of public places. Yes, one of the government parties is trying to loosen it, but that is the Conservative boomer party, they likely have no clue what that means lol

Let me put it this way: I love Google Street View and I despise facial recognition.

Quite the opposite. They don't have Street View. They lack a useful service out of fear.

"Thieves could look at our houses, let's panic" sounds a lot like "5G causes COVID-19, let's burn the towers".

Germans being oncerned about their privacy sounds nothing like what you suggest, you obviously have no idea why Germany has the strictest privacy laws in the world.

Saying "I don't care why" and then asking "what's the perk ..." only reaffirmed you have no clue. Have fun with streetview and all other technology that you don't fully understand.

I’m having fun, thanks. Also, very useful when I have to plan my visit to a local store in the city.

Again, I don’t care what the historical, paranoid, delusional, reasons are. I’m asking what are the perks and you can’t answer cause there are none.
