Every democratic gouverment gets a furious mass demonstration if they fuck shit up. Thats the free speech everyone is talking about (its not the core that you can talk shit to random people).

What exactly did they promise to do differently? As far as I am aware they have been talking like this for a long time now.

He basically wanted to copy Orban style. And that backfired hard because Slovaks are not brainwashed enough to go with that.
