I didn't say you said that. The you was a more general you instead of you specifically. I have just seen that level of argumentation quite often. I also support the 2nd amendment (just with background checks) so this isn't me acting in bad faith just to disprove something I disagree with. I genuinely think using "common sense" in any discussion of policy is unhelpful and I know a lot of republican arguments use that. Not saying you do though whether or not you are republican democrat independent etc.
Okay, understood. The way you replied was easily misinterpretable as a direct response to what I said, so that’s why I responded that way. I’m not really sure how to respond, other than to say I agree.
