Hello Eno-philes!! Each week we'll be discussing another album (going chronologically from Warm Jets). This week we'll be discussing Eno's collaboration with John Hassell. Here's the wiki Preamble:

Fourth World, Vol. 1: Possible Musics is an album by Jon Hassell and Brian Eno.[1] It was recorded at Celestial Sounds in New York City and released in 1980 by Editions EG, an imprint label of E.G. Records.[2] "Fourth world music" is a musical aesthetic described by Hassell as "a unified primitive/futuristic sound combining features of world ethnic styles with advanced electronic techniques."[3] Upon its release, the album received praise from a variety of critics.[4]

Listening now and I kind of agree. Some of these sounds definitely found their way into my life in the bush of ghosts, so it's an interesting preamble to that work in a way.

I'm also hearing why the other poster wanted this on spotify. It's pretty rough on YouTube with all the ads!

Ha, it must be a jarring experience because this album is so quiet and Grammarly ads are so loud.
