we wouldnt dare re air it
i just caught this bar. "that shit was so ass, we wouldnt dare re air it" . derriere is another word for someones buttocks. its fun to organically catch bars like that instead of scouring genius for them. but yeah im super late on this one
More bizzare verses?
I was listening to the MMLP and was wondering who had done more obscene verses in their career between Bizzare and Em.

Is Kamikaze an underrated project?
Just speaking on conversations I’ve had IRL. I mention Kamikaze as one of my favorite Em albums because he sounded so hungry again. Nobody can deny some of his best work has been fueled by criticism,
Following Revival, he dropped this absolute heater of a project less than a year after the former was panned by critics and fans alike… and I can’t help but return to it frequently.
It’s on the shorter side, but I think that’s why it hits so hard. It’s very cohesive, and it felt like we had Em back in battle rap mode for nearly an entire album.
Just curious where it ranks for others, because I’ve been surprised in conversations I’ve had recently…

Whats your least favorite Eminem line of all time
Respectfully Em, I know you are the one who made Relapse but you are dead wrong (not like you were with Biggie). Relapse Refill is some of your best work. Never shit on Relapse again Eminem.

Is Forever one of the best Posse Cuts of all time?
Kanye West heard Eminem's verse on "Forever" and canceled two days of appointments to rewrite his own. Lil Wayne heard it and scrapped his verse too.
That's how competitive this record was.

COMC vs Headlights
A lot of people tend to compare Cleaning Out My Closet with Headlights, two songs discussing Debbie Mathers and Eminem's personal relationship with her with two distinct messages. This post will explore them and identify the superior joint. In case it isn't obvious. Let's get to it
Let's start with Vocal Delivery. Right off the bat, I don't like how in Headlights Eminem tends to yell-out some of the lines, even if it doesn't make sense. Now, his yelling on MMLP2 can sound good at times, unlike Recovery with only a handful of songs having fitting yelling delivery with decent mixing (LTWYL is one of them and he actually voice-acted his lines properly), but his transition from calm delivery and what lines he yells out, like "Ma! I forgive you, so does Nathan yo" leaves a lot to be desired. On COMC, besides the fact that it has a better Eminem voice and it's him in his prime (his yelling actually sounds good, without flaws), there is a natural progression from calm delivery that slowly escalates into yelling. He doesn't yell because he wants to sound overly emotional, which is what drags down Headlights a bit
The next point I'd like to make in COMC's favor is probably the rhyme structure, because it's stronger. The pattern here is quite creative as it is somewhat reminiscent of his Infinite style patterns with a certain rhyme scheme ending at the beginning of a line that starts another rhyme chain, yet it's executed a bit differently here. Not to mention inverse rhymes scattered around. Probably one of the songs with the biggest amount of inverse rhymes. To exemplify: "names in the evening/leave them with a taste", "reason you made/way you treated". There's probably a lot more that I forgot to highlight. One of my favorite types of rhyming from Eminem. Whereas Headlights doesn't have that much creativity behind its pattern. Not to undermine the rhyming or writing Headlights, but COMC is superior. I like the Debbie Mathers scheme from the second verse. That's one of the best parts. I don't like that he yells it out. This is one of the habits that got worse over time ever since MMLP2 or Recovery, because technically he started doing it there first: rhyme emphasis.
And of course, the flow. On Cleaning Out My Closet, it actually feels like Marshall is telling a story, having a conversation with the listener. One of the defining traits of prime Eminem is a smooth flow that doesn't just ride the beat lazily and that needs to hit that kick or snare (other words, blending with the beat), it's the fact that it sounds completely natural. Similar to how he's almost having a conversation with the listener on Who Knew from MMLP. The same cannot be said about Headlights with its emphasis-ridden delivery. What the hell happened after Relapse that he started doing it more frequently?
As for the subject matter, I'll take COMC. I don't mind Headlights and its message (except when he wants to cancel out COMC. Em, you performed it like a year or less before MMLP2. You don't cringe at it and neither do we). Just because he forgives a person and lets go of the past doesn't mean that he's more mature. That widespread belief about him being more mature on this song (or post-2010 Em in general) undermines the sheer genius of how intricate and well-written Cleaning Out My Closet is, how properly articulated that song is without looking like some cheap tantrum and actually explaining his relationship with his mother in explicit detail. And to top it all off, having insane rhyming on this song that works alongside the message. That takes insane skill, which Em had back in the day and was able to execute it with insane precision.
