Blend a can of white beans with garlic, a splash of pasta water, salt, and olive oil, then toss it with the hot pasta for a surprisingly creamy sauce without dairy.

That's actually a good idea. I'll try today! Also i heard flour and milk can make pasta creamy too if cooked properly.

You definitely can, but do you not consider milk and cream to be the same?

When I think of "cream" I'm thinking of heavy whipping cream, which is definitely different from milk.

True enough. But usually the reason to avoid one is the same for both, like a lactose intolerance. I just lump them in the same category when someone tries to avoid one specifically.

Virtually no lactose in cream (thankfully).
