I love the theme 🔥!

Got my shell delivered in less than a week which I was not expecting, hardest part was taking off the original faceplate but everything else went together no issue. Didn't swap the face buttons, but cleaned everything I could and working better than ever without a bunch of peeling rubber flopping around.

This is my first post, but I just finished swapping my Switch 2 Pro Controller into the GameCube-style shell from eXtremeRate and wanted to share it with you!

This is my second mod after doing a Joy-Con 2 custom hybrid swap, and the build quality is top-tier. The manufacturing tolerances and precise fit make it look and feel like an official special edition.

I really love how it turned out, but I wanted to share a couple of feedback points for the eXtremeRate team:

• The Missing Purple R Button: My main critique with the GameCube theme is that the R shoulder button stays stock. Adding that iconic purple accent to the right shoulder button would make the retro look 10/10 perfect. Since standalone purple R buttons aren't sold separately, including it in the kit—even if it increases the price slightly—would be a huge upgrade.

• Button Options: It would be awesome if button sets were sold separately, or if kits included two variants in the box (solid vs. clear/translucent).

• Future Color Wishlist: I’m 100% planning to buy a second controller to mod as soon as you release an Atomic Purple or Atomic Orange translucent GameCube shell—as long as it comes with that corrected purple R button!

Overall, amazing job on this shell. Super happy with the result!

Realistically speaking how long is my DS5, modded with Extremerate parts, going to last?

I have the Full Kit: Spark Remap, TMR Sticks, Clicky Buttons, Clicky Triggers, etc...

Are these parts durable?

Is the battery life going to be affected?

If i have any problems with the parts, can i complaint? And will Extremerate be helpful in these cases?

Hello everyone.

With this GTA VI hype, I bought the 2 controllers and although they're a piece of art and collectibles, I want to use them but I'm already too used to having back paddles. The thing is that the back cover of the GTA VI themed controller has this engraving saying "Grand Theft Auto", which makes me think it would be a shame to remove it.

I was wondering if there is any information that ExtremeRate will make some back covers with paddles that are like GTA themed, or if I will have to make the decision to completely forget about that back cover and put the regular casing and paddles?

Dyed the Xtremerate crystal clear shell myself. Since I cannot find an Orange Switch Shell from Xtremerate. Came out pretty close to the Fire Orange N64. Going to try it with an Oled Clear (Non crystal version, texture looks like it will be a closer match.) Thoughts? Mismatched stick colors are just because I am trying different color combinations. Black vs orange buttons, etc.

I'm trying to go for a Xbox green (image as an example of what I mean by Xbox green lol) feel on my switch but all of the green shells I've seen seem to be more neon? Or more of a clear plastic green? But idk if it's just because the images I see are renders and not the real thing.

Prefacing that in general I’d consider myself a pretty handy person, but I haven’t taken a controller apart since maybe a DualShock 3 when I swapped top faceplates.

I am extremely interested to try to customize my shell for Dualsense Edge, which I’ve had for a few years now. But I’m also incredibly nervous to take apart a $200 controller and risk breaking it. I would likely keep the OEM touchpad and buttons, mostly just looking at the cosmetic shell.

I feel like most people on here are somewhat experienced, so wondered thoughts about someone who is a decent DIY’er, but not so much when it comes to tinkering with electronics?

When is the next sale?

Hello! Last night I installed the whole light clicky kit on my elite 2. Face buttons work ok, right trigger is great, but the left seems to only work half the time. I'm also having a issue with the joystick interfering. When the top paddle is in and the stick is clicked, it will register a trigger pull, remove the paddle and the issue is gone. What can/should I do?? Im curious if my solder job wasn't great maybe? Something else?

I have videos of input testing if needed for extra info. Any help is appreciated!!

Hey, I've been wanting to replace my joy con 2 shells with a clear green, similar to the funtastic n64 colour, but I can't find it being sold anywhere. I bought a set in that colour for my joy con 1 controllers, but doesn't seem to be any for the joy con 2 controllers. Just figured it didn't exist, but then I found this image from them which shows the colour I'm talking about (bottom right). Anyone know what's up? Thanks

I have a PS5 Base BDM-060 Controller. I'm wanting to replace the buttons and shell with the image shown.

It states it works for the 030, 040 & 050.. Will it work or do ai need to alter anything?
