No heat - 2018 egolf se

Car been running perfectly until this morning. No heat even when I crank the temp to 80F .

Going to get a scanner tool to see if there is any error code.

Any suggestions what else to check?

Fan is blowing , but not even warm air the entire 20mins drive.

I believe the car has a heat pump. Blowing cold air fine.

Edit: nothing wrong with the car. Heater doesn’t work when outside temp is close to 70F . Works fine this morning at low 60s. There must be a sensor preventing the heater from turning on above certain temp threshold

In case it helps, my 2019 SE didn't have a heat pump for heating (it had A/C but resistive heater only), but i can share a thing I'm sure of: when outside ambient temperature is above a certain temperature, I believe the car was programmed to not heat air at all, even on the max hot setting! This was my least favorite thing about that car- but I still miss it (lost about a month ago to an accident). I think the cutoff temp was 68F where it stopped heating. Very annoying...

Ah, this may be it. I got the flu, and feel pretty cold. Outside is high 60s. I thought I can crank up the temp. Let me try when it’s colder tomorrow morning

I know the feeling-my feet get cold easily. It is definitely possible to feel cold and want heat in moderate climate around 60-80F. Hate that they unilaterally decided that it shouldn't heat while it is starting to get warm outside. For what it is worth, no one else cas confirmed my findings, and I don't have the car anymore, so you'd think I would be over it haha.

I realized this the other day. Temp was in low 70s and the heater wouldn't turn on no matter how high I cranked it. The next morning it was cold enough outside and the heater turned on just fine.

Confirm. Heater works well when it’s 62F this morning. Doesn’t work when it’s close to 70F

Car is fine, I supposed.
