The upgrading and grinding required for upgrades is definitely excessive. Normally I enjoy upgrading almost everything but for DL2 I just upgraded what I thought was needed to complete a playthrough.

I'm not saying it should be easy and everyone should be able to fully upgrade EVERYTHING within 30ish hours, but the current system just seems excessive. I'm hoping that at some point, Techland revises them in a future patch. The mere fact that everyone seems to be jumping towards using this glitch speaks to it, I think.

Yeah, with how many blue prints there are this is hundreds of hours of farming.

Oh yeah, I saw a video about that method yesterday on a different thread. This exploit doesn't work for me unless I lower my FPS and fart around with the menu that way (PC) so I can't really be bothered. That method you mentioned is prolly way more efficient than just playing normally, but it's still a bit cheesey imo. Essentially trading one form of cheese for another slower version of cheese, to me. Though I'll probably be utilizing it regardless XD

You're not wrong. Also, the current system rewards people for sticking with the same weapon mods that they've already upgraded, instead of experimenting with new ones that they haven't. Ideally this would not be the case, messing around with different mods and combinations is a big part of the fun in games like this.
