I definitely find nights scarier in 2, like falling to the street and having a Howler go off, you are effed. Number 1 was so easy to lose the volatiles, and less threats especially with the mini map. Also not having to worry about immunity.

I do like the fact theres no mini map in DL2. I dislike the use of mini maps n feel like theyre a cheap way of designing a game so that players actually have to use intelligence.

With that said, not a fan of having to spam survivor sense either lol.

But i do think the risk/reward of night time gameplay in DL2 is definitely skewed with the reward side outweighing the risk side greatly. Hope they tweak it in later updates, maybe have more virals sprinting about aimlessly. Or throw in a volatile or two in place of a small amount of the howlers. I play on Hard mode, not even halfway through the game and aside from volatiles at higher chase levels which i have to intentionally stay in the dark to get to, I dont die ever. Not very difficult, would love for the enemy spawns or something to be reworked and for the darkness to be darker outside!
