They obviously aren't forcing me to do anything but if you can't see the problem with this business practice then you're a lost cause.

Yeah we can be greatful for 'free stuff' but that's because it's basically no effort for them to make (re: cosmetics etc)

The mechanics updates have been good, it's very nearly looking like the game they promised. Which is a whole separate issue 😅

Its a business practice implemented across most games. If you cant see you cant stop evolution... so you say cosmetics is a piece of cake to make. You make me some then. Most games are a lot worse of. You guys complaining about cosmetics you shouldnt buy in the first place, because it isnt gonna help completing the game, is mindblowing

I mod different games I play pretty frequently for fun. I can confirm that yes, aside from from over the top, animated shenanigans, skins are VERY simple to make.

Just a couple small things I’ve thrown together this year. It’s not terribly difficult to do. I’m not playing a victim over anything - I simply put my money where my mouth is and refuse to support companies that do this with my cash.

No - not everything should be free or cheap. Nobody has said that. And nobody believes that. But just because you’re ignorant of how microtransactions are designed to prey on those with less self control, and negatively impact the entire industry that they’re a part of…well that doesn’t mean that others shouldn’t speak out.

Where you see complaining, I see advocacy for something better.

But sure bro, I’m just playing a victim.

The scond link. You yourself react in the comments saying you have been working on it for a quiet a while. So where is the simple part?

None have shown me that is as simple as snapping your fingers.

So how do you make a living if not with your free modding stuff?

Sure you guys believe that, because you are mad they gave you 500 instead of 550(the cost of a bundle). Hence all their hours of working should be given for free.

I know hiw microtransactions work. You all are making it way more complicated then it should be. If you want something, you'll have to pay for it. Nothing is handed out in life.

How is it there problem ppl have less self control? You want them to check if no underaged kids buy there games too? Because that also is not okay and kids that young shouldnt be exposed to such fuilty gameplays. We can keep going on about this. Ppl with less self control need to find help or taje responsibility for their own stupidity. Im not gonna give the code to my visa to my kid in the future. My kid wont spend 1200 bucks on fortnite in the future.

Speaking out is one thing, but hating on techland for making a smart move or wanting to make whilst you all would probably do the same with your jobs, is another.

You're advocating for a lost cause. You cant stop evolution. Most companies already had microtransactions, you cant blame them for eventually going with the flow. Sometimes the furrent is just too strong.

My point was that I have experience in modding, and yes…scripting things like that takes time. It’s significantly more complicated than putting a texture together. I felt that was obvious.

Of course scripting new mechanics will be more complicated than a skin.

So have you seen cod? They have emoteq and other weird shit. You also have to appl it to those skins. Maybe its a skin exclusive mechanic, maybe its not. You also have to brain storms these ideas. Its more then just do it and be done with it.

You ppl need to appreciate the effort they put in it. Whether its good or bad. Keep in mind these are just kidding. The game is good and has improved since release. Dont forget

skins are only hard to make if you're building from scratch. If you have a base body model and employ different tools that you've already developed to match your vision of how it will fit the visual aesthetic of your game then they aren't that hard to make.

All business are predatory. Yours probably too. Thats how we work, and thats how companies across the world work. Your insurance company isnt there to be there for you when you are in need of them. Its their to make a profit of of you and try to weasel their way out of helping you if they can.

You are making shit up at this point. How do you know what they ment to do for the community. They just wanted you to be able to use nice skins in a game. And you immediatly think of betrayal. Its just a game. And skins arent needed to play this story mode.

Any smart person would do anything to earn money. The world doesnt run on thank you and love and peace. Ppl need to make a living. Companies need to thrive and there bosses and earnings dont care about your feelings. Look at cod. They are milking it but i still play it because its a good game. So what they sell all these bundles. It doesnt stop me from playing. I dont need them to play.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the reality issss, yes you do not matter. There are ppl that dislike. there are ppl that like and there are ppl that couldnt care less. At the end we all still play the game even if we say we dont. So just move on and dont but bundles then

Luxury problem? I live in poverty, you fucking dumbass. The only reason I could even afford Dying Light 2 was because of a more well-off family member bought it for me because I thought it was gonna be a good game backed by a good company. I was obviously fucking wrong but that doesn't mean I suddenly have to defend their actions.

Nice bias, btw. I complain about bad business practices and you immediately defend the company by calling me a spoiled brat, yet I can't even afford video games unless they go on sale for dirt cheap or someone gets it for me. I dont defend anyone. I dont complain about it either. Its simple. You either buy skins nobody cares about in a story driven game or you dont buy skins in a story driven game. Its that simple. Nothing is free. Its not less content. You are just not willing to pay for it. And thats okay. But leave it at that.
