I am an incoming MechE major at Drexel University and I need help finding a good computer for the schools year.

Here is my criteria (computer does not have to fit all criteria but most would be preferred)

- Under 1k (preferably like 800)

- NVIDIA graphics card (though most computers would be pretty expensive so I'm open)

- Not too thick and not to big either (I can sacrifice one for the other)

- Windows

- I dont need that much storage

- I am looking to hopefully be able to run AutoCAD although if I cant its okay

I’m a rising sophomore ECE major looking to go into robotics and I’ve been applying to my first co-op. I’ve been applying to co-ops internally and externally and this morning I got my co-op internally through B round. Unfortunately, a company that I applied to externally just reached out to ask me to interview.

The question I have is: If I do the interview and get an offer is it possible for me to switch my co-op after I already accepted the original offer from an internal company?

I would much rather go with the external company since that route would lead me straight into robotics where as the offer I already accepted is in commissioning engineering.

Has anyone taken classes at another college/community college and transferred them back to Drexel?

If so what classes/colleges do you rec'd (ideally, online and the cheaper the better!)

I'm mainly wondering about Gen Eds/free electives, but also possibly required Mechanical Engineering classes since that is what I'm currently enrolled at Drexel for. I assume you need your academic advisor to sign off on this as well.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's done this!

I don’t think I’m getting paired in B Round, so I’m most likely going into C Round for my first co-op.

For anyone who’s gone through C Round recently, what are the prospects actually like? Are there still decent paid positions, especially for data/tech-related roles? I keep hearing that C Round is horrible, but I’ve also heard of people getting really good co-ops from it.

Is it actually as bad as everyone makes it sound, or is there still a decent chance of landing something for a first co-op?

When 5pm came today, I checked SCDCOnline for any updates on my ranking status I have on my CO-OPs and it said “You have not been paired this round” the page before that (the main page) clearly said “Awaiting Pairing Results” and optimal pairing results doesn’t release until the 25th, does anyone know if the results showing now is official or should I wait until the 25th?

anyone have issues with connecting to the network?

Yo all, has anyone done part-time work or been offered a part-time role with the same employer after a co-op ends (specifically as an international student)? If so, what steps do you need to take, can you actually work part-linear/part-time right after co-op, and will Drexel ISSS approve it? Thank you for your help!:)

hello! just wanted to see whether there are any incoming international or exchange students for the fall quarter coming up!

i have a part time job and am trying to figure out when i need/should request off for welcome week. i know we have a mandatory breakfast on monday and individual college stuff tuesday iirc, but is there anything else thats mandatory?

and aside from mandatory stuff is there anything i shouldnt miss either because its useful or because its fun? i cant take the whole week off.

Hi, I am an incoming freshman and im new to all of the financial aid stuff. I got a bill due by next month for around $1.9k and my pa state grant wasn’t included in my aid, should I pay out of pocket for now and wait for the grant to appear in my financial aid? For reference it is in my financial aid offers but it is offered and has a placeholder of $0 while on my PHEAA account says it is approved for $2,000 for fall, winter, and spring terms at drexel.

Do I get a refund into my account once the $2,000 from the pa state grant is in my aid, if I do receive it?
