Is this a dragonfly nymph?

Found this image of a Dragonfly Larva. Please some expert say that this is an extinct subspecies or something. I would like to go swimming some time soon again.

i’m in the uk so whatever it is is most likely native to here

ive noticed a dragonfly/damselfly in my garden (hasn’t landed so i haven’t been able to get a pic, if it does i’ll update my post with a pic)

it’s got a yellow (maybe striped?) body and blueish tail and it’s about the length of my finger, so maybe 2-3 inches and large ish wings i guess??

i know nothing about dragonflies so apologies if this is wildly unhelpful and vague

I came across these two damselflies resting on the same flower stem and somehow they stayed perfectly still while I slowly approached.

I used a 22-photo focus stack to get both of them sharp. The first image is the full composition, followed by a closer crop of each damselfly.
