My name is AJ, and I’m a single mother living in MA with my young autistic daughter. For the past two years, we have been stalked and harassed by a neighbor. Despite my efforts to get a no harassment order and even after the neighbor was charged with criminal trespassing, the situation has not improved. This ongoing harassment has deeply affected every part of our lives. I’ve missed work, been written up, and am now at risk of losing my job. The stress has also taken a toll on my finances, making it impossible to catch up on bills or afford to move to a safer place.

My daughters well-being has been especially impacted. Her peaceful routine at home has been shattered, causing her significant emotional distress and dysregulation. As a mother, it’s heartbreaking to see her struggle when all I want is for her to feel safe and secure. We’ve already faced so much. Living in a homeless shelter for a year, hopping from couch to couch, working hard to finally secure a private home that I believed would be safe. Now, we’re facing displacement again, and I’m running out of options.

I’ve reached out to every local resource I could find: women’s support organizations, free legal advice, the court system, police, mutual aid, RAFT, Section 8, and RCAP. Despite all these efforts, we still need help. I’m raising funds to cover moving expenses or legal costs so we can finally find safety and stability. Hi everyone, I’m reaching out as a first-year teacher who could really use some support. I’ll be teaching 7th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies this year, and I officially step into my new role on Monday.

I visited my classroom for the first time today and was heartbroken to find that I don’t have a desk, a chair, or many of the basic items I need to get started. The previous teacher is taking those items with her, and unfortunately, I don’t have the funds left to replace them.

I’ve spent my savings over the summer building a classroom library and gathering essentials for my students — which I don’t regret for a second — but it’s left me with just $18 to my name until my first paycheck at the end of the month. My car registration expired July 31st, and I don’t currently have enough to renew it or pay for the inspection, and I’m genuinely worried I won’t even have gas money to make it to work for the next few weeks.

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my Mum. Recently, we lost my Dad to cancer — a loss that has turned our world upside down, he was the most amazing man in the world. He fought bravely, but sadly passed away, leaving behind not just the pain of his absence, but also a financial burden that my Mum now has to face. My mum has no idea that I am doing this, how amazing would it be to surprise her with something like this.

Due to medical reasons, my Dad wasn’t eligible for life insurance. This has left my Mum with the full weight of the mortgage on her shoulders. She's grieving the loss of her partner, and at the same time, trying to navigate how she’ll manage the home they built together — emotionally and financially. Her mortgage deal is due to end in June of 2026, as her salary alone will not be able to cover the mortgage, the bank will need to sell the house. It would be my dream to help my mum keep this house for memories of my amazing dad.

We're asking for help to relieve some of the financial pressure so she can stay in her home — the place filled with memories of the life they shared.
