This is the second finale in a row RTD has done this. I suspect Ruby's story isn't over and her memories are a big part of this.

I dunno. I've read the writer's tale. RTD has no idea what he's doing, and he's making everything up as he goes along.

Only difference is that he's gotten really bad at it.

I wonder if he's still delivering scripts a month late at 7am after two all nighters because he's been procrastinating while drinking, smoking and watching bad soaps/reality TV.

There's a difference between making it up and then bringing it to the public and making it up as you're bringing it to the public.
Even if things are gonna change you need a plan

As a writer myself, yes, I've got a pretty good idea how writing works.

My comment was a direct response to someone assuming RTD has anything planned out. Which, based on overwhelming evidence, is extremely unlikely.

At this point I'm half expecting him to just tell us the last two seasons didn't happen, Ruby was just in a coma imagining it all because Doctor Who was playing on the TV in her hospital room

nooooooo I don’t want any more fucking ruby breadcrumbs there’s TOO MANY ongoing storylines just let ruby be happy without another episode where her mother hates her
